On 17 January 1966 crashed after a failed in-flight refueling, an American B-52 bomber and a tanker plane over the village of Palomares in the Andalusian province of Almeria with four hydrogen bombs on board from, two of which the area with plutonium contaminated, another found intact, and a fourth only could be recovered after months from the Mediterranean.
