According to preliminary results, the SPD in the Hamburg state election with 48.3 percent of the vote won an absolute majority in parliament and, although short, can rule alone. The CDU lost more than 20 percent and drove to Hamburg with now only 21.9 Prozentihr their worst result so far. The Greens improved slightly to 11.2 percent, the FDP managed this time with 6.6 percent, the 5-percent threshold and the Left Party held its own with the same approximately 6.4 percent.
